Chicago 2005
Zoe has never been
able to explore and hang in a big city
before so....
After a couple trips out west and
wanting to stay a little closer to
home this year,
we decided a short stay in Chicago
was in order.
We decided to hit the major tourist
attractions first including-
The Museum of Science and Industry.
Where else can you find everything
from the Wright Flier to a Boeing
727 hanging from the ceiling?

Even one of the Sentinels from
the Matrix is there.
(One of our favorite movies at the
time.)

Nothing like staying at a
5-star hotel while in town.
The Swisshotel (Wacker & Lake
Shore Drive) will do.

The view from our room on the
35 floor was excellent.
Either watching the floatillas go by
on the Chicago river-

Or the fireworks at night at
Navy Pier.

(It took Zoe two days to find
the hidden but well stocked fridge.)

Next morning it was off to the
Shedd Aquarium.
The new dolphin pool was built so that when you are seated-
it looks like it continues into Lake Michigan.

Even nocturnal fish/creatures are on display.

A quick but rainy walk to the Adler Planaterium.
Zoe's hovel is actually full of tiny holes representing the stars in
the night sky.

Touristas again....

A stop at Navy Pier and a quick stage show-

We decided to take a quick run up and down the lakefront.

Which gave us this composite of the Chicago
skyline.
And another road trip comes to an end.
